Current Projects & Innovations

Litre of LIght is a project which can serve and help millions of people who have no access to electricity. They and their children inhale the fumes of the kerosine lamp and get lung diseases, including lungs cancer and many more.

We help them with not only a free/ very cheap alternatre of light, which can drastically transform the quality of their life and living. The equipment design will be funded by the univeristy and the implementation and mass production will be supported by the corporate and the govt. The design and the model is patentable and can be commercilized, on and over the meaniful exploratory journey.

Centrifuge

B1.2

The Centrifuge and Microscope combo is a very useful, effective and cost-efficient method for separating blood and other pathogens.

A typical centrifuge, spins fluid samples inside a electric-powered rotating drum. But this centrifuge is low-cost, door-step, rural clinical device which can run without electricity. There are many areas where there are no roads, infrastructure, electricity and hospitals. This kind of centrifuge which doesn’t require any electricity is a very handy tool for poor people who have less reach to hospitals.

Edible Spoon.jpg

B1.3

These delicious, eco-friendly and nutritious Edible Spoons are an excellent alternative for plastic spoons. They are made by mixing jowar (sorghum) with rice flour and wheat flour. The spoons come in a variety of flavours, including sugar, ginger-cinnamon, cumin, mint-ginger and carrot-beetroot.

Spoons have a shelf life of two to three years. Only Jowar is used because unlike ragi and other millets, which have an overpowering taste, jowar is fairly neutral and allows different flavours to be mixed in. The crisp spoons taste like thick baked rice crisps.

The Sea Bin is an innovative new form of removing plastic, oils and other detritus from our seas and oceans. It is a “trash skimmer” designed to be installed in any water body with a calm environment and suitable services available. Water is sucked in from the surface and passes through a catch bag inside the Seabin, with a submersible water pump plugged directly into outlet. The water is then pumped back into the water body leaving litter and debris trapped in the catch bag. Sea Bin can intercept floating debris, macro & micro plastics and even micro fibers with an additional filter. By acting as a trash skimmer, the it is also able to clean the water from contaminated organic material (leaves, seaweed, etc…).
